Have you noticed how many times transportation is embedded into our pictures.

With the absence of other information, we can date our pictures by our cars. By the year of the vehicle, the photo couldn't have been taken before manufacture and two by remembering when we possessed it, the yellow Toyota was bought in Idaho in 1978 and rolled May 10, 1983. The Honda 305 was owned from 1968 to 1972. The Falcon was bought in 1968 and sold in the spring of 1971.

Looking Deeply Into The Picture

Revealing History This eye opener of a link got us to look closer into every cranny of the older photos we have scanned. Nothing of real interest yet, in the dark areas, but look at what we did find.

A photo of Bill's Grandmother, Elizabeth Cole, img572 . The photo was processed July 1959 by the date on the front of the picture.	We adjust adjust the levels of light.	...and what is on the back wall?
Zooming in on the back wall we see the photo taken of her and her husband.	And we do have a copy of this photo in the archive.	This photo had to have been taken at the same time, dress, hat, shoes...but the date on the front is May 1961...hmm?
Another photo of Grandma Cole dated May 1961. Do you see those pictures on the top of the bureau?	Let us lighten, and zoom in for a close up. I think we found a match in our archive.	Look it is Bill.
Two lovely young ladies. Again a picture on the wall behind them.	By now we always lighten, zoom in, and sharpen what we find.	Again we find the answer in the archive, Bill's Mom, Mary.

These photos were used.
They were displayed. Maybe not in a fancy frame, but they were seen, not hidden away. I think we have some pictures we need to set out.
